Experienced landscapers, beautiful results

Kensington Landscaping transforms tired, dated or awkward outdoor areas into spaces you'll actually want to use. Working across central and East Auckland, we build gardens, pool surrounds, decks, pergolas, retaining walls and lawns, then maintain them once the planting has settled in.

A professional garden transformation does more than tidy up a section: it adds value to your property and changes the way you live outdoors. Whether the starting point is bare dirt or a garden that hasn't been touched since the 1980s, we manage your project from the first site visit through to the last plant going in.

Residential work makes up around 95% of what we do, alongside commercial and body corporate grounds. Regular
garden maintenance keeps established planting in shape, while our project work covers pool landscaping, decks and pergolas, garden makeovers, lawns and artificial lawns, and retaining walls and raised gardens.

Royal Park standards brought home to Auckland gardens

Rob Figgins is a qualified horticulture landscaper who has worked in the trade since the early 1990s, beginning with an apprenticeship and trade certificate through Palmerston North City Council.

He then spent around 11 years in London, rising to manager of Kensington Gardens, the Royal Park adjoining Hyde Park, including the grounds surrounding Kensington Palace. That is where the business name comes from.

A Royal Park leaves no room for rough detailing, and that standard still shapes the way Rob sets out every job.

Rob is on site himself for most projects and remains your main point of contact from the first visit through to the final tidy-up. On a three-month build, that can mean daily conversations; on a smaller job, it simply means you always know who to ring.

Two decades of referrals and returning clients

Kensington Landscaping began in 2003 and has grown steadily through word of mouth. The team is deliberately small: Rob plus three staff, usually including an apprentice in training.

Around half a dozen apprentices have completed their training with us, which matters to Rob because it keeps real skills in the trade.

We work on one site at a time, seeing it through to completion, rather than juggling several half-finished jobs. Commercial grounds, factory and industrial gardens, road frontages, building entrances and car park gardens are all held to the same standard as a private garden.

Site visits and free quotes across central and east Auckland can be arranged through our
contact form or by phoning Rob directly.
